Dorothy Alma Parker

Dorothy Alma Parker, 83, of Jemison died Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

She was born Sunday, Dec. 11, 1932 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Rev. Malcomb Lockhart and the late Ruth Mims Lockhart.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are sons, Donald Lamar (Becky) Parker of Bay Minette and Ralph (Rachel) Parker of Clanton; daughter, Cathy (Warren) Sweeney of Alabaster; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Tina Wesson of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Parker.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29 at Jemison First Baptist.

Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Kent and Rev. Chuck Bass officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison.
