Mildred West Houlditch, 94, of Jemison died Tuesday, Aug. 30 at her residence.

She was born on Thursday, Aug. 17, 1922 in Bibb County, daughter of the late Josh West and the late Culley Mobley West.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Popwell of Jemison; son, Lee (Daris) Houlditch of Trussville; granddaughters, Tracy (Lynn) Smith of Jemison and Sarah (Patrick) Hobbs of Trussville; grandson, Zac (Kathy) Houlditch of Trussville; great-grandchildren, Christopher Wigington of Jemison, Orry Smith of Jemison, Riley Hobbs of Trussville, Cole Hobbs of Trussville, and Kaitlyn Berios of Trussville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Houlditch, and son, Chester Houlditch, Jr.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 2 at Union Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. at Union Springs Baptist with Rev. Steve Johnson and Rev. Evie Megginson officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial, Trussville.
