Betty Anne Amberson McAlister

Betty Anne Amberson McAlister, a loving wife and mother, age 54 of Jemison, passed away Monday, Aug. 15 at her residence with her husband and daughter at her side.

She was born in Birmingham on Feb. 13, 1962, to the late Cecil N. Amberson and the late Betty Jean Taylor. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby McAlister; daughter, Shelby McAlister; stepdaughters, Micki McAlister and Jessica Peterson; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Cecil (Vicki) Amberson and Donald (Mary) Amberson; and a niece, Thea Amberson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil N. and Betty J. Amberson and a brother, Jim Amberson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. from the Providence Baptist Church No.1 with the Rev. Allen Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.
