John Russell McGriff, 68, of Clanton died Monday, July 11, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on Saturday, June 26, 1948 in Mobile Co., AL, Son of the late Oscar James McGriff and Martha Holly McGriff.

He was a human resource manager.

Surviving are his Wife, Mrs. Joan B. McGriff of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Mrs. Monica McGriff (Barry) Ousley of Billingsley, AL; Mother, Mrs. Martha McGriff of Clanton, AL; Sister, Mrs. Holly McGriff (Lynn) Green of Randolph, AL; Brothers, Mr. Jim (Emily) McGriff of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mr. Glenn D. (Tammie) McGriff of Jemison, AL; Grandsons, Forrest Russell Ousley of Billingsley, AL, Jordan Riley Ousley of Billingsley, AL.

Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Hughes and Rev. Lennie A. Howard officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Creek United Methodist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
