Dorothia “Dot” Mae Wallace, age 79 of Maplesville, passed away on July 11, 2016 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. She was born on January 25, 1937, the daughter of the late Luther Anderson and Ila Dean Anderson.

She was a fruit stand manager.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Sidney) Pate of Calera and Jackie Nesbitt of Maplesville; 4 Grandchildren; 9 Great-grandchildren; 4 Great-great-grandchildren; Brother, Joe (Peggy) Anderson of Jasper; Cousin, Margaret Parsons of McCalla; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lesley Glenn Wallace; and her parents, Luther and Ila Wallace.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Pleasant Grove No. 2 Baptist Church in Lawley with the Rev. Robert Gibson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery.
