Smith, Gray to wed

Courtney Renee Smith of Clanton and George Braxton Gray of Jemison will wed June 25.

Smith, 25, is the daughter of Jeff Smith and Lee and Renee Helms. She is the granddaughter of Harold and Alice Fraser, Juanita Smith and the late Eugene Smith.

Courtney graduated from Chilton County High School in 2009 and from there attended the University of Montevallo. Courtney graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2014 with an undergraduate degree in elementary education. Courtney is now teaching sixth grade at Clanton Middle School.

Bride’s attendants will be Heather Smith (maid of honor), Leighanne Bice (matron of honor), Marcy Price and Macy Welch.

Gray, 24, is the son of Steve and Beverly Gray of Jemison. He is the grandson of the late George and Margie Gray, the late Beverly Jo Rhodes and Done Layton.

Braxton graduated from Thorsby High School in 2009 and from there attended Jefferson State Community College. Braxton is now employed with the Clanton Housing Authority.

Groom’s attendants will be Steve Gray (best man), Brad Gray, Stetson Gray, Brett Moss and Dustin Gray.

The wedding will be held at 6 p.m. June 25 at New Life Community Church with Shane Wyatt officiating. All family, church family and friends are invited.

The newlywed couple will reside in Jemison.
