Coven Crumpton recently participated in Bonnie Plant Farm’s third grade cabbage program.

Each year, Bonnie Plant Farm distributes free cabbage plants to third graders across the country to foster an interest in gardening and the environment. Cabbages are delivered to students to take care of and harvest.

The cabbages produce oversized heads, making the process even more exciting for kids.

As part of the program, Bonnie awards $1,000 scholarships to one student in each state.

Crumpton’s cabbage measured 3 feet, 8 inches and weighed 16 pounds.
