Samuel Hicks, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Jemison, passed away on May 13.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Hicks of Sarasota, Fla.; sons, the Rev. Samuel D. Hicks of Sarasota, Fla., Derrick Hicks and Nathan Hicks both of Houston, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Kidd of Jemison; brothers, Joshua Hicks and Harold Hicks both of Flint, Mich.; sisters, Odessa Martin and Ruth Malone both of Flint, Mich.; 14 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday May 24, at 11 a.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Jemison with burial at Holly Grove cemetery. Visitation from 1-6 p.m. on Monday, May 23 at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 150 White St. Montevallo, AL 35115.
