William Blalock

Retired Master Sgt. William “Bill” Blalock, 82, of Clanton died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Capital Hill Rehabilitation in Montgomery.
He was born on Sunday, Sept. 24, 1933, in Chilton County, son of the late Charles E. Blalock and the late Pearl Little Blalock.
He was a Master Sgt. with the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are son, James (Lori) Blalock of Jemison; sister, Debra Blalock of Jemison; step-daughter, Rhonda (Phillip) Ballard of Clanton, Anita Schular; step-son, Jim (Sue) Schular; grandson, Elijah Folds; special daughter, Denise Folds; 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Blalock, second wife, Betty Yeargan Blalock, son, Howard Phillip Blalock, son, William Michael Blalock, parents, Charles and Pearl Blalock, brother, Herschel Blalock, brother, C. Houston Blalock, sister, Lucille Kelly, sister, Louis Mims.
Friends were received from 5-7 p.m., Monday, May 16 at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Ken Brand officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery in Clanton.
