Linda Faye Cory, 71, of Alabaster died Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

She was born on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1945, in Clanton, daughter of the late Earl E. Foshee and Martha Fox Foshee.

She was a Social Security secretary.

Surviving are mother, Martha F. Foshee of Jemison; daughter, Tarra (Ray) Black of Chelsea; son, Jason Cory of Alabaster; brother, Kenneth (Gail) Foshee of Jemison; uncle, James Fox of Waldorf, Md.; niece, Deiara (Chris) Gray of Jemison; nephew, Matthew Foshee of Jemison.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 13 at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1.

Services will be held Saturday, May 14 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 with the Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 Cemetery in Jemison.
