James Robert Rawlinson, 53, of Verbena died Monday, May 9, 2016, at UAB in Birmingham.

He was born on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 1962, in Alabama, son of the late Frank R. Rawlinson and Margaret Plott Rawlinson.

He was a teacher.

Surviving are mother, Margaret Plott Rawlinson of Verbena; aunt, Lela M. (Ed) Lucas of Hueytown; devoted cousin, Jimmy (Vicki) Lucas of Hueytown, special cousin Terry (Dianne) Little of Verbena; several cousins and nieces.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 12 at 12 p.m. at Verbena Cemetery with the Rev. Hunter Pugh officiating.
