Richard J. “Jerry” Gray, 63, of Clanton died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Wednesday, June 25, 1952, in Chilton County, son of the late Floyd Gray and the late Willie F. Wilson Gray.

He was a steel worker.

Surviving are son, Jeremy Allen Gray of Clanton; grandsons, Tyler Thomas (Danielle) Gray, Taylor Alexander Gray, Cooper Allen Gray; granddaughter, Tessa Isabella Gray; great-granddaughter, Jaxx River Gray, Lincoln Rose Gray, Emmy Gray, Kyrah Gray; brother, Terry (Ginger) Gray; sister, Debra (James) Darnell; nieces, Amber Darnell, Ashley (Kenny) Beavers; nephews, Kevin (Kacy) Gray, Trent (Jessica) Gray.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Willie F. Gray.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Monday, May 2 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 2 at 2 p.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Lightsey officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
