Jason Wayne Snipes

Jason Wayne Snipes died unexpectedly in a helicopter crash in Coffee County on March 26 at the age of 34.
Jason is survived by his father, Barry Snipes and stepmother, Tammy Snipes of Calera; mother, Tami Bozeman of Birmingham; husband, Joshua Bryant Snipes of Verbena, and their two dogs Charles and Chloe; sisters, Jennifer Gilbert, Stephanie Snipes, Kayla Snipes and Amanda Bozeman, as well as deceased brother, Justin Snipes, followed by stepbrother Brian Rhodes and stepsisters, Stephanie Aperry and Dee Adams.
Jason was born on Sept. 4, 1981, in Clanton to Barry Snipes and Tami Bozeman.
Jason graduated from Jemison High School in 1999.
Jason was accomplished as a flight medic at Haynes Life Flight.
Jason was a dedicated individual who loved helping others and who was passionate about saving lives. Jason was an active and dedicated volunteer at the Verbena Fire Department and he had previously worked at RPS and CARE as an EMT.
A funeral/service was scheduled for April 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Jemison High School.
Chris Heisler with The Honor Flag Network officiated the ceremony.
