Robert Michael Lowery, 71, of Clanton, passed away on March 22 at Brookwood Medical Center in Homewood.

He was born in Hale County on Feb. 27, 1945, the son of the late Kermit Victor Lowery and the late Lucille Price Lowery.

He was a former shift supervisor with ABC Rail in Calera.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel G. Lowery of Clanton; son, Todd M. Lowery of Clanton; daughter, Wanda L. Patterson (Todd) of Montgomery; son, James W. Lowery of Clanton; granddaughter, Jasmine Lowery of Seaside, Calif.; granddaughter, Betty L. Geiger of Montgomery; sister, Billie Ann Behl of Snowflake, Ariz.; brother, Ned A. Lowery of Jemison and sister-in-law, Josephine Lowery of Lynn Haven, Fla.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Lucille Lowery and brothers, Kenneth Byron Lowery and Virgil “Sonny” Lowery.

Visitation will be held on March 24 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on March 25 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pinedale Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton.
