Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements for graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

BASEBALL
Chance Calloway (Chilton County 2012) hurled three strikeouts and did not allow an earned run in a 2 1/3-inning effort as a relief pitcher for NAIA No. 4 Auburn University at Montgomery (25-6) in an 8-3 victory at home against Bethel University (17-7) on March 19 in Montgomery. For the year, the senior has tallied a 2-1 overall record complemented with 23 innings, 20 strikeouts and a 2.74 ERA through six appearances and four starts.
J.D. Minor (Chilton County 2014) batted 1-for-4 at third base for the University of Montevallo (16-13) in an 11-4 triumph at home against Georgia College (12-11) in Game 1 of a doubleheader between the two teams on March 19 in Montevallo. In Game 2, the sophomore followed by finishing 2-for-5 and one RBI in a 14-3 victory. For the season, he has compiled 10 runs scored, seven RBIs, seven stolen bases, four doubles, one home run, one triple and a .241 batting average.
Blake Teel (Chilton County 2014) fired two strikeouts and allowed two earned runs in a four-inning effort at starting pitcher for Marion Military Institute (22-4-1) in an 8-7 victory at Shelton State Community College (13-13) on March 17 in Tuscaloosa. For the year, the sophomore has totaled a 1-1 overall record, 16 innings, eight strikeouts and a 4.5 ERA through five appearances and four starts. James Ratliff (Chilton County 2014) collected his first save of the season by hurling one strikeout and not allowing a hit or an earned run in a one-inning effort, as a relief pitcher for the Marion Military Institute baseball program (22-4-1) in a 4-1 triumph at home against the Faulkner University junior varsity on March 16 in Marion. For the season, the sophomore has totaled 6 1/3 innings, three strikeouts and a 4.26 ERA through five appearances and one start.
MEN’S GOLF
Ivan Truss (Chilton County 2014) is a sophomore for Samford University, which collected a 10th-place finish among the field of 12 teams at the Tennessee Tech University Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate Invitational from March 20-22 in Sevierville, Tenn.
MEN’S TENNIS
Bryan Cochran (Jemison 2014) is a sophomore for Faulkner University, which fell to 3-6 overall after sustaining a 7-2 loss at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (7-3) on March 14 in Perkinston, Miss.
Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) captured the No. 1 performance for the NCAA Division II No. 15 University of North Alabama men’s golf program at the Georgia College Bobcat Invitational by tying for 24th overall with a three-round score of 221 (74-74-73) en route to leading the Lions to place 12th among the field of seven teams from March 21-22 in Eatonton, Ga.
SOFTBALL
Kristina Caton (Chilton County 2015) batted 1-for-1 and scored two runs at catcher for Shelton State Community College (22-6) in a 17-0 sweep of Marion Military Institute (1-17) on March 17 in Tuscaloosa. On March 19, the freshman followed by finishing 1-for-3 and scoring one run in a 7-2 triumph at Snead State Community College (13-22) in Boaz. For the season, she has tallied 11 runs scored, six RBIs, one home run and a .326 batting average. Brooke Lewis (Chilton County 2014) secured an appearance at outfield for Southern Union State Community College (12-23) in a 4-3 loss at home to Central Alabama Community College (12-23-1) on March 17 in Wadley. For the year, the sophomore has compiled five runs scored, five RBIs, one double and a .273 batting average.
Holly Watts (Chilton County 2014) finished 1-for-3 at third base for Southern Union State Community College in a 5-1 loss at home to Central Alabama Community College (20-15) on March 17. For the season, the sophomore has totaled six RBIs, three runs scored, two home runs, one double and a .212 batting average.
Shelby Lopez (Jemison 2012) batted 1-for-4 with three RBIs at catcher for the University of Montevallo softball program (14-21) in a 5-1 victory at the University of West Alabama (14-21) on March 22 in Livingston. On March 19, the senior finished 1-for-3 with one RBI in a 6-4 loss at home to Columbus State University (18-13) in Montevallo. For the season, she has compiled 18 runs scored, 18 RBIs, three home runs, three doubles, one triple and a .315 batting average.
WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
Lori Davis (Billingsley 2012) opened the season by capturing 15th in the javelin at the University of Alabama Relays with a launch of 113 feet, 8.25 inches for Alabama State University from March 17-19 in Tuscaloosa.
Sarah Graham (Chilton County 2015) is a freshman at distance for the University of West Alabama, which will resume competition at the Mississippi College Twilight Invitational on April 1 in Clinton, Miss. In her most recent competition, she collected 10th in the 600-meter run at the Jaguar Opener with a career-best time of 1 minute, 51.26 seconds for the Tigers in a fifth-place finish among the field of seven teams from March 4-5 in Mobile.
