Elite Salon under new ownership

Clanton’s Elite Salon is under new ownership, and the business is seeking to revamp to better serve customers in Chilton County.
Brantley and Leighanne Bice bought the business from Amber Price in February and joined the team of six stylists at the salon.
Price is still currently working at the salon as a stylist.
“Our goal is to do everything we can to better serve our customers,” Bice said. “We just wanted to change the salon’s concept a bit.”
The salon’s main priority is to “enhance the client’s beauty through color, cut, style, makeup and brow shaping.”
The salon, which has been open for nine years, originally moved from Second Avenue to 203 Seventh St. S. in 2012 to accommodate its growing clientele.
Now, the salon hopes to add new services including a larger online presence with the ability for clients to fill out information online for making appointments, a selfie station inside the salon for customers to take selfies of themselves after they have received a haircut, a boutique opening in April offering “trendy” style apparel, shoes and jewelry at affordable prices, and a point system for discounts on hair services.
“We really want the salon to be a place that offers amenities that would be compared to a higher-end salon,” Bice said. “We are constantly trying to work to do everything we can to make an impact in this community.”
Bice was originally in the dental field when she decided to change careers to hairstyling.
“God opened up the door for us to do this, and we are so excited to be joining this team,” Bice said.
The salon plans to hold a ribbon cutting with the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce on April 2 at 11 a.m. with an open house from noon until 2 p.m. with door prizes, refreshments and gift bags for attendees.
The salon is open Tuesday-Saturday with hours varying each day, and walk-ins are welcome.
