William Ray Thompson

William Ray Thompson, 74, of Jemison, passed away suddenly on Feb. 29 at his residence.
He was born in Rickman, Tenn. on June 9, 1941, the son of the late Jack Thompson and the late Pauline Cleckley Thompson.
He was a former plumber.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Cleckler Thompson of Jemison; son, Bill Thompson (Cheryl) of Jemison; son, Ross Thompson (Ingrid) of Trussville; grandsons, Trent Thompson of New York, N.Y., Cole Thompson of Jemison, and David Herold of Tuscumbia; granddaughters, Macey Thompson of Jemison and Alex Thompson of Trussville; sisters, Dean Tatum of Verbena, Josie Duke of Elberta and Margaret Brown of Verbena; and brother, Donald Thompson of Titus.
Visitation was held on March 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on March 2 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Wilson and the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.
Burial will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
