Joann Elliott Davis, 68, of Verbena, passed away on Feb. 27 in Alabaster.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1947, the daughter of the late Arnold Elliott and the late Ruby Irene Blankenship.

She was a retail stocking clerk.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher Shane Elliott of Jemison, Brandon Heath Elliott (Brooke) of Thorsby and Jerry Daniel “Danny” Davis Jr. of Cullman; daughter, Melissa Ann Smith of Kellyton; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brothers, Norman Elliott of Odenville and Joe Elliott (Sue) of Alabaster and her sisters, Cookie Wilson of Pelham, Grace Moore (Joey) of Pelham and Vera Gray of Camden, Tenn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold Elliott and Ruby Irene Blankenship Elliott; husband, Jerry Davis; sister, Jane Cummings and a brother, Claude Lee.

Funeral services will be held on March 2 at 4 p.m. from the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Logan officiating.

Burial will be in the Providence Baptist Church No. 1 Cemetery in Montevallo.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
