Kathryne Elaine Anderson Kalanick, died Feb. 21 surrounded by her family that she loved so much.
Lane was born Dec. 15, 1950, and was the daughter of Barbara Carlisle Anderson Crews and the late Raymond Howard Anderson Jr.
She was the adored wife of 44 years to Charles “Chuck” Harry Kalanick.
Lane leaves a wonderful legacy of love in her children and grandchildren, Jennifer Kalanick Lyles (Linc) Jaxson and Anna, and Erin Kalanick Moore (Jeff) Jake, Taylor and Dalton.
She was sister to Jan O’Grady (Mike), Keith Anderson (Bev), and Amy Anderson (Nancy) and six nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.
Lane grew up in Greensboro, N.C. and attended Appalachian State University.
She lived in Berwick, Pa., Oneonta, Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Clanton where she was active in church and community activities.
In the 1970s in Oneonta, she was a founding member of the Agigaue Women’s Club, which brought new doctors, a community swimming pool and many other community projects to a city that still loves and remembers her.
Her tireless efforts for the American Cancer Society through Relay For Life made a difference in Clanton as well.
Visitation with the family will be Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 11 a.m. at Clanton First Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clanton First Methodist/youth building or Chilton County Relay For Life.
