Helen S. Satterwhite, 89, of Jemison, died Feb. 18.

She was born on July 29, 1926, in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late Walter L. Sims and the late Hattie Mae Nix Sims.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughters, Penny Davis of Jemison and Jan Caton (Allen) of Jemison; grandchildren, Jenny Thompson, Cyndi Gilliland, Justin Caton; great-grandchildren, Noah Gilliland, Jordan Thompson, IsaBella Gilliland, Olivia Gilliland; sister, Dot Ellison of Montgomery; brother, Melvin Sims of San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Satterwhite.

Graveside services will be held Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison with the Rev. Justin Caton and the Rev. Clark Thompson officiating.
