Judith “Judy” Blalock Smitherman, 74, of Clanton, died Feb. 14.

She was born on June 7, 1941, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Audie O. Blalock and the late Edna Mims Blalock.

She was a credit manager.

Surviving are her son, Rodney Smitherman (Dena) of Clanton; daughter, Karen Jones (Ronnie) of Italy, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Jones (Jena) of Krum, Texas, Brooke Smitherman of Clanton, Kaitlyn Smitherman of Clanton, Haydin Harris of Clanton; brothers, George Blalock of Pelham, Mike Blalock of Clanton, Danny Blalock (Pam) of Helena; sister, Jannett Blalock of Trussville; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Liveoak (Winston) of Thorsby and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Smitherman.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 16 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Lightsey officiating.
