Michael Eugene Martin, 61, of Jemison, died Jan. 30 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Nov. 29, 1954, in Clanton, the son of the late Walter Martin and the late Audrey “Betty” Lee Chancellor Cleckler.

He was a paint and body professional.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Martin of Jemison; daughters, Sabrina Lynn Edmonson (Eric), Stephanie Martin Bucklew (John) of Clanton, Regan Lee Scarbrough (Ryan Taylor) of Jemison; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other family; sisters, Debbie Carter of Clanton, Diane Littleton (Billy) of Billingsley; brothers, Bobby Martin (Tina) and Gary Martin (Terri) of Thorsby.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Martin; mother, Betty Cleckler and sister, Teresa Kirkland.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 2 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Guin officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
