Rosie Bell Ivy, 78, of Clanton, died Jan. 23 at her residence.

She was born on June 15, 1937 in Chilton County, the daughter of the late James R. Hicks and the late Nellie Mae Chandler Hicks.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her sons, Rufus “Frankie” Ivy (Terri) and James Ivy; grandsons, Casey Ivy (Natalie), Ethan Ivy and Jackson Ivy; granddaughter, Kerri Ivy and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe T. Ivy; sisters, Rosie Nell Wyatt and Ruby Richie; brothers, James R. Hicks and Ardie Hicks.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Jan. 27 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Larry Reeser and the Rev. J.W. Ivy officiating.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Gardens in Thorsby.
