Horace Michael Farmer

Horace Michael “Shug” Farmer, 69, of Montevallo, died Jan. 23 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born on April 22, 1946, in Chilton County, the son of the late W.H. Farmer and the late Carrie P. Rogers Farmer.
He was a truck driver.
Surviving are his daughters, Angela Dyer (Nick) of Calera, Lisa Gothard (David) of Calera, Denise Farmer (Justin) of Verbena, Mandy Bond (BJ) of Clanton; sons, Wayne Farmer (Angie) of Jemison, Kevin Farmer (Wendy) of Calera; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother, Jimmy Pruett of Montevallo and sister, Rhonda Frederick of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.H. and Carrie Farmer.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 24 at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Randy Gothard officiating.
Interment will follow in Thorsby Memory Gardens in Thorsby.
