The Chilton County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a ribbon cutting for a new clothing boutique in Jemison on Thursday.

Giggle Stitch and Brown Eyed Girl Boutique, located at 58A Church Street in Jemison, opened in November 2015, and the store has seen a welcoming response from the community.

“Everyone has been great since we opened,” owner Martie Mims said. “We have definitely seen a great response from the community. They have made us feel very welcome.”

The business specializes in monogramming and/or stitch work.

“We monogram anything,” Mims said. “We can monogram clothing, boots, purses.”

Mims said the store also handles large orders for businesses or teams who would like items monogrammed with a particular logo or design.

The boutique also offers ladies clothing sizes small to 3X, baby items, accessories and gift items.

Many of the clothing items available in the boutique can be monogrammed while shoppers browse the store.

The store also offers candles made from Fairhope Soy Candle Company.

“We have been very busy since we have opened,” Mims said. “It has been great to see the support we have received.”

The store has new hours, which include being closed on Sundays and Mondays, open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
