William Turpin “Bill” Hann, 72, of Verbena, died Jan. 10 at his residence.

He was born on April 3, 1943, in Alabama, the son of the late Grover Hann and the late Mary Elizabeth Calloway Hann.

He was a plumber.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel Hann of Verbena; son, Jeff Hann (Melissa) of Verbena; daughter, Nancy Barfield (Trae) of Verbena; grandsons, Nick Barfield of Verbena, Clay Hann of Verbena; granddaughters, Lauren Rowland (Dave) of Newport News, Va., Fawn Averette (Tommy) of Mobile; great-grandsons, Damar Rowland of Newport News, Va., Jensen Barfield of Clanton; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Averette of Mobile and sister Betty Gulledge of Verbena.

Memorial services will be held Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating.
