Warmer temps for weekend, showers possible

Residents in Chilton County should expect warmer temperatures this weekend with a few showers and thunderstorms possible.
According to information provided by the National Weather Service in Birmingham, temperatures should reach around 60 degrees on Saturday with a 90-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Drier air is expected to return to Chilton County by Sunday and should last for several days.
There are no critical fire weather conditions expected for Chilton County, according to the NWS.
Cooler air returns to the area on Sunday with a high near 47 degrees and overnight lows dipping to 25 degrees.
Temperatures at the beginning of the week are expected to be in the upper 40s with overnight lows in the upper 20s.
According to the NWS, slightly warmer temperatures are expected for Thursday with a high near 52 degrees.
