Corinth Church

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas; we certainly did.

Our annual New Year’s Watch Service is this Thursday night from 7 p.m. until.

We hope you can come and join us for food, games, fellowship, and even a few fireworks.

This year is coming to a close and everyone has started thinking of New Year’s resolutions, right?

Did you stick to your resolutions this year?

Did you live this year as great as you could?

Have you made a reasonable resolution for 2016?

Reasonable is the key.

Far too many times I’ve made a resolution that, while possible, was very impossible for me to accomplish.

This year, I fully intend on keeping my resolution, and I hope you do to.

Feel free to post on our Facebook page about your resolution.

I will be holding check-ins throughout 2016 to see who is keeping and who is slacking on theirs, and you can help me stay accountable as well.

We will help each other stay on track.

While browsing through the Internet the other day, I stumbled upon an image that caught my attention.

It is called the “7Ups” by Agape Love Divine Ministries: 1-wake up (begin the day with the Lord. It is His day. Rejoice in it!) 2-dress up (put on a smile. It improves your looks and says something about your attitude). 3-shut up (watch your tongue. Don’t gossip. Say only nice things. Learn to listen). 4-stand up (take a stand for what you believe. Resist evil. Do good). 5-look up (open your eyes to the Lord. After all, He is your only Savior). 6-reach up (spend time in prayer with your adorations, confessions, thanksgivings, and supplications to the Lord). 7-lift up (be available to help those in need: serving, supporting and sharing).

Seven simple, small things that each and every one of us can do. If you only resolve to do one thing this new year, I hope it is to make the world a better place; a more loving and welcoming place “on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

Let’s leave better children for our planet and a better planet for our children.

Until next time, may God bless you and keep you, and we hope to see you soon!
