Calvary Independent Baptist Church

Calvary Independent Baptist Church wants to thank everyone who attended services this past week. Sunday morning services included a message from Numbers 20:1-13 on “Having the Character of a Servant”.

We looked at “complaints from people, commands from God, character of Moses, and the conclusion of the matter.” Unbelief always brings judgment, and causes one to miss out on the blessings that God has wanted to give.

Sunday night services included a message from Ezekiel 47:1-12 on “The Flowing Water of Life.” Prophetically we already know this passage has to do with the Lord’s Temple that is to be set up in the 1,000-year millennial reign of Christ.

We looked at the spiritual application of how the water that gets a person saved and ready to serve begins at the house of God. If you are in a biblical church you know how much focus is put on teaching the word of God to all who can and or willing to receive it.

We looked at getting our feet wet, knees wet, and then getting in the deep where not only are our heads wet, but it is a place where we really need to swim.

The deep things of God is something that no bible student with a hearts desire for the word of God will want to pass by. Everyone may want to test the waters but those that have been in the word of God for a while will tell you to just jump on in the water is fine!

We hope you are saved and are faithfully attending a bible believing and teaching church near you. If not and you are in or near Clanton, we would love for you to come visit with us this Sunday.

We are a small group most of the time and with no real dress code, more of a come as you are type people. Our services are more of a traditional type in certain ways, yet probably differs from any other church you may have attended.

We sing from hymnbooks and preach from a King James Bible. We emphasize a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and a very literal approach to understanding the bible rightly divided according to the commandment of II Timothy 2:15.

We are located in South Clanton just past Dollar General right off 31 on Fulmer Drive.

Our regular weekly services include Sunday school at 9 a.m., children’s church and adult worship services begin Sunday at 10 a.m. and followed by another service at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday services start at 6:30 p.m., and we have a bible study on every other Tuesday at 7 p.m.
