Willie Littleton

The Rev. Willie Littleton, 96, of Clanton, passed away on Jan. 1 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born on Feb. 9, 1919, the son of the late Lawrence Littleton and Lettie Cleckler Littleton.
He was a minister for many years in the Chilton County area.
He is survived by his sister, Pearlie Smith of Clanton; brother-in-law, James Virgil (Betty) Smitherman of Clanton; sister-in-law, Ruby Smitherman McCoy of Fernandina Beach, Fla. and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was like a second father to many people that he served during his ministry.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Myrtle Littleton; father, Lawrence Littleton; mother, Lettie Cleckler Littleton; brother, Austin Littleton; sister, Mattie Franklin; sister, Everee Headley; brother, Wilbur Littleton; brother, Edgar Littleton and brother, Audis Littleton.
Visitation was held Jan. 2 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Jan. 3 from New Harmony Holiness Church in Clanton at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Teddy Chadwick and the Rev. Donnie Messer officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bro. Willie’s sitters for their love and compassion shown over the last few months.
