Floyd Lester Ellison, 85, of Jemison, died Dec. 25.

He was born on June 20, 1930 in Alabama, the son of the late Charles Lester Ellison and the late Mamie Glasscock Ellison.

He was a sheet metal fabricator and a farmer.

Surviving are son, Ronald Eugene Ellison (Cindy) of Calera; daughters, Donna Sue Tilley (Ronnie) of Jemison, Regina Young of Jemison; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cost Ellison of Thorsby; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Easterling Ellison, and son, Floyd Lynn Ellison.

Friends were received from 12-2 p.m. Dec. 27 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services were held Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Interment followed in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
