Jesse “Jet” Lee Edwards, 74, of Gulf Shores, died Dec. 15 at UAB in Birmingham.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1941, in Chilton County, the son of the late Isaac Edwards and the late Myrtle Steap Edwards.

He was a carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, Norma Edwards of Gulf Shores; sons, Denny Lee Edwards (Cherie), David Wayne Edwards (Amy), Daniel Todd Edwards (Kim); daughter, Rhonda Ray; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Colethia Littlejohn (Harold) and Evelyn Patterson.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kellye M. Edwards; son, Daryl Edwards.

Friends will be received from 12-2 p.m. Dec. 18 at Pates Chapel Baptist Church.

Services will be held Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. at Pates Chapel Baptist Church in Jemison with the Rev. Gary Jones, the Rev. Teddy Chadwick and the Rev. Jason Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.

In lieu of flowers, donate to the UAB Organ Transplant Center.
