Rubin Wayne Cobb, 73, of Jemison, passed away on Dec. 12 at his residence.

He was born in Chilton County on March 27, 1942, the son of the late Theodore Rubin Cobb and Gussie Faye Davis Cobb.

He was a commercial construction carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Cobb of Jemison; son, Jeff Cobb of Jemison; daughter, Danyell Monk of Greenville; daughter, Macie Hilyer of Jemison; six grandchildren; mother, Gussie Faye Cobb of Jemison; sister, JoLayne Chapman of Jemison; sister, Theresa Varden of Jemison; and sister, Tammy Best of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by grandsons, Heath Foshee, Trae Cobb, Scott Cobb and father, Ted Cobb.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services was held on Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Smith and the Rev. Reburn Daily officiating.

Burial will follow in the Center Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
