Carolyn Ann Donovan Gilley, age 60 of Maplesville, passed away on Dec. 7, 2015, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on June 24, 1955, the daughter of the late James E. Donovan and Mollie Sims Donovan

She was a store manager.

She is survived by her mother, Mollie Sims Donovan of Maplesville; brother, James (Dianne) Donovan of Hoover; nephews, Sean Donovan and Brian Donovan of Hoover; niece, Aleshia (Gerald) Boothman of Trinidad; lifetime friends, Jill (Dale) Smitherman of Clanton, Summer Smitherman of Clanton, April Easterling of Clanton, and Raylan Connell of Clanton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, James E. Donovan.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at 7 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
