Evelyn Brand McGuire, 87, of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 8 at her residence.

She was born in Clanton on Feb. 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Delbert Brand and the late Cuba Jones Brand.

She was a former school bus driver for the Chilton County Board of Education.

She is survived by her son, Gary E. (Sally Wall) McGuire of Clanton; daughter, Glenda (Steve) Oliphant of Clanton; daughter, Karen (Dennis) Anderson of Vestavia Hills; son, H. Bevin McGuire of Clanton; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Larry McGuire; son, Rodney Gerald McGuire and parents, Delbert and Cuba Brand.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Dec. 10, 2015, at 2 p.m. from Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Daniels officiating.

The body will also be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton.
