A two-vehicle wreck Monday morning near Jemison Elementary School sent six people to the hospital.
Jemison Police Chief Shane Fulmer said a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of County Road 51 and County Road 44 resulted in six people being transported to nearby hospitals.
Fulmer said none of the injuries were considered life threatening.
“We are still investigating the wreck, but it appears that one of the vehicles might have run the stop sign at the intersection in front of Jemison Elementary School,” Fulmer said. “We are still looking into what exactly happened though.”
The crash happened at 7:05 a.m., and Fulmer said the wreck was during the middle of school traffic.
“It did cause things to be a little hectic this morning,” Fulmer said.
Fulmer said some of the occupants in the vehicles were students who attended Jemison Elementary School but did not release any names.
Jemison Fire Department also responded to the scene of the crash.
