Elizabeth D. Maddox Loyd, 61, of Clanton, passed away on Dec. 3 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was born in Chilton County on Jan. 2, 1954, the daughter of the late Elmer Maddox and Elaine Spear Maddox.

She was a former employee at the Thorsby sewing plant.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Loyd of Clanton; son, Josh Loyd of Thorsby; daughter, Tammy Sherrill of Clanton; grandson, Alex Sherrill of Clanton; mother, Elaine Maddox of Clanton; brother, Jeff Maddox of Thorsby; sister, Martha Smith of Billingsley; brother, Michael Maddox of Clanton and a host of other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her father, Elmer Maddox.

Funeral services will be held Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. from Cane Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Cleckler officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Cane Creek Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
