Christina Faye Nelson, 19, of Jemison, passed away suddenly on Nov. 12 as the result of an automobile accident in Centreville.

She was born in Homewood on July 25, 1996, the daughter of the late Joey Glenn Johnson and Carol Faye Nelson.

Christina was a 2015 graduate of Jemison High School.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Nelson of Jemison; mother, Carol Nelson of Jemison; sister, Candice Nelson of Jemison and uncle, William A. Nelson of Birmingham.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joey Johnson and her grandparents, William A. Sr. and Faye Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. from Day Star Ministries with the Rev. Mike Bailey officiating.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the Day Star Ministries in Jemison.

The family requests no flowers, but asks for contributions to be made toward the funeral expenses at the funeral home.
