Barbara Sue Gay, 68, of Clanton, died Oct. 27 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1947, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late James Leonard Connell and the late Jewell Nelia Caton Headley.

She was a bank teller.

Surviving are her husband, Steve Gay of Clanton; son, Greg Gay of Clanton; grandson, Hunter Gay; granddaughter, Deborah Gay Chapman; great-granddaughter, Aaleyah Chapman; mother, Jewell Headley; sister, Rena Willis; brother, James Connell.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Connell.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 29 at Bell Lane Baptist Church.

Services will be held Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at Bell Lane Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Powell and the Rev. Tony Christensen officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
