RELAY FOR LIFE: Cancer picked the wrong princess

“Of course, we were devastated that she would have to continue this harsh treatment plan, but that has not crushed our hope and expectations for her healing.

“We know that God is using her to touch so many lives during this storm. We have complete faith that she will be healed from this terrible disease. She has overcome so much already and continues to be a fighter. She has the sweetest personality. She is the happiest baby and has stolen the hearts of her doctors, nurses and many others. She does not let all the treatments, appointments and constant medical procedures slow her down, and for that we are so thankful.

“When you are in a situation like this, you really get to see the good in people. People do things for your family that just amazes you. We are so thankful and humbled by the love and support that our sweet girl has received since her diagnosis with neuroblastoma.

“We are able to get through this season because of the support and most importantly the prayers for her and us.

Unfortunately, most families have been affected by cancer one way or another. I am sure any one of them would tell you there is nothing more important to them than a cure for this terrible disease. It is a matter of life and death. Our whole community has been behind her during this journey, and we are so appreciative. Each of you have the opportunity to not only support Kinlee but all of the individuals and families that are affected by cancer by being a part of Relay For Life. I know I certainly will.

“Fairview Fire Department is hosting a 5K and 1-mile fun run in honor and support of Kinlee on Dec. 12. It is called “Jingles for Kinlee.” Our family would love for you to all come out and be a part of this event. We would love to meet Kinlee’s prayer warriors. The flyers will be coming soon for this event.”
