David Gilchrist Karn, 27, of Clanton, died Sept. 1.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1987, in Montgomery, the son of David Brian Karn and Loulee Williams Karn.

He was an economist.

Surviving are father, David Karn of Clanton; mother, Loulee W. Karn of Clanton; brother, Grantland Karn of Mobile; sister, Linlee Karn of Tuscaloosa; grandmother, Deborah Karn of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, the Rev. Tommy Karn, and grandparents, Fred and Mary Lee Williams.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at First Baptist Church of Clanton.

Services will be held Sept. 4 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Clanton with the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
