Floyd Baptist Church

Bro. Mike Lawrence took his message “Is One Church as Good as Another Church” from Matthew 16:13-19.

Since men have built many churches, many people think the church is just a building, but it is the body of believers. Saying one church is as good as another is like saying one airplane is as good as another, but one may take you to Florida while another will take you to New York.

Many churches do not have the blood of Jesus Christ as their foundation. Without the blood of Jesus, the Church cannot prosper spiritually. The Church of the Bible is founded on Christ, and where is he? Jesus is located at the right hand of the Father.

Floyd will have its fifth Sunday singing on at 5 p.m. on Aug. 30.

Everyone is welcome to worship with us at Floyd.

Friendship Baptist Church

In Sunday’s service, Dusty Dutton sang “Lighthouse.”

Bro. Ken Daniel took his sermon “Don’t Look Back” from Genesis 18:16-21 and 19:17, 24-26.

In the evening service, the children sang “What a Mighty God We Serve” and “Oh, How I Love Jesus.”

Bro. Ken took his message “God of the Impossible” from Genesis 17:15-23.

The impossible can take place at any time. Sarah had a child at 90 years old, and Abraham was 100. God will challenge us.
