Karen Ann Lowery Baker, 62, of Thorsby, passed away on Aug. 20 at her home.

She was born on Jan. 24, 1953, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late James R. Lowery and Mary Sylas Lowery.

She was an assembly line worker.

She is survived by her husband, Everette “Shorty” Baker; son, Daniel Lee (Valerie) Wallace; daughter, April Lynn Wallace (Bennie) Edwards; grandchildren, Joshua Lee Wallace, Mary Elizabeth Jordan (Bradley) Edwards, Brandon Gregory Wallace, Harley Jade Edwards and James Dylan Conner Edwards; great-grandchildren, Chevy Lee Edwards and Skylynn Grace Edwards; three sisters and six brothers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James R. and Mary S. Lowery, and a brother, James Keith Lowery.

Funeral services will be held on Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. from Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends on Aug. 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery.
