Samaria Baptist Church
Sunday’s message was titled “Healing for All” from 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
God’s Word is just as powerful today as it was when the books were penned. The Bible will speak to us personally if we apply a good study ethic, and then apply what we learn to our daily lives. In the last days we know that perilous times will come. It is our responsibility to prepare for the rough times to come.
God’s Word says that proud lovers of self are used by the devil, but we can choose whom we want to serve. We have the ability to choose our behavior, attitudes and devotions.
We need healing in our churches that we may be able to fend off the attacks of Satan. There are countless good blessings from God in his Word—and we need to enjoy each and every scripture—but we need to adhere to the whole Bible. We must be reminded of the punishment for sin, and that sin comes with a price. Allowing God to look at us and being able to willingly open ourselves up to his correction will enable us to overcome the sin and evil in the world.
America is in a sick and evil condition today. In order to pray for the healing of our nation, we must receive God’s healing in our own personal lives. The key to finding joy in God is remembering that arrogance has no place in our lives, and to know that it is not about us, but about God. We turn it all over to him, and he will direct our paths and vanquish those who want to be our enemies.
Division brings corruption and destruction. Whether it is in a nation or in a family, we must unite. Churches that allow pride to defeat the mission of saving souls are not putting God ahead of our own selfish wants and preferences.
We must stand with faith or fall in defeat. We must trust completely, yielding our choices and decisions of life to be his will and not just what we think we must have. God can and will bring healing to our nation if the faith of the nation is evident. If we continue to exhibit fear and doubt in our daily walk or in our service in God’s house, it is highly impossible for God to be glorified.
Our country was built on faith in God, and if it falters and dissolves, it will be due to destruction from within. These words are ringing true today more than at any other time in our history. Let us bathe in the words of the 23rd Psalm. Let us release it all into the hands of a loving Lord and submit ourselves wholly to the one who has the answers. He knows the beginning and the end.
God will conquer our enemies if we remain in him. We are in a battle every day. Let go, and let God have the reins of life. Following and serving him in a close daily walk gives us the peace and joy that we need to find comfort in these difficult last days of earth as we know it.
Diane Fisher sang “He Calms Me” for special music.
Pray today for our country, Caleb Harrison, James Cleckler, Jan Christianson, Collis and Dot Easterling, Nathan Friday, Mike Smith, Stacy Wyatt, Roger Mims, Baby Ella Greer and parents, Matt and Erica.
Join us for a wonderful message directly from God’s Word. God bless you.

Sunday morning, Bro. Kenneth Moates started the service off with the hymns “Won’t it be Wonderful There,” “Are You Washed in the Blood,” “Keep on the Firing Line” and “Heaven’s Jubilee.”
Trey Coker brought a devotion from Romans 7:15, 1 John 2:1 and 1 John 1:9. Sin may be dangerous, but we serve a great God that is able to do exceedingly more than we ask. He can help us overcome.
In 1 John 1:2, John writes, “We have an advocate with the Father.” Some synonyms for the word “advocate” include fighter (Jesus helps us fight), supporter (Jesus is our supporter) and champion (Jesus will help us win our battles).
1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Trey then shared a quote from Jason Crabb: “Don’t you dare try to compare yourself to the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, because guess what? You ain’t that good of a sinner.”
It is so amazing how God forgives us. There is no limit to his forgiveness.
After Sunday School, Wayne Barnett sang, “He Brought Water to Me.”
Bro. Heath Vines preached his sermon from Proverbs 3:5-6. Do you yourself need God? Some people will flat out tell you that they don’t need God. They may be proud of their sin.
When some people come to church they may see God’s love, but they leave the same as when they came because they don’t see their need for Christ. We actually need God more now than we’ve ever needed him before. We need to see our need for a Savior. We should pray that our lost loved ones see their need for a Savior too.
Every day, hour, minute and second of the day, we need God. Do you fully trust him with all of your heart? If you’re leaning on yourself, your health or wealth, you may not see your need for God.
We need God because he’s our Creator, our Redeemer and our Provider. We can only get through life with Christ.
Sunday night, the congregation sang the following hymns: “The Last Mile of the Way,” “I Want to be Ready to Meet Him” and “Fill My Way Every Day with Love.”
Bro. Kenneth Moates offered a study on the book of Revelation for his devotion.
Bro. Heath Vines preached form Luke 8:41-42, 49-56 on Sunday night. What are you gonna do when bad news comes? We have many options of where we could go, but the best place to be is at the feet of Jesus.
You may feel that it’s hopeless because you have gotten no answer. The devil will tell you to give up and that it is no use to trouble the Master with your prayers. Your situation may look bad, but don’t listen to the devil. Keep believing. Trouble the Master, and he will do something for you. He is able if you have the faith to believe.
