Bro. Mike Lawrence’s took his message “Doing Your Best” from John 2:1-8.

In these passages of scripture, Lazarus’ sister Mary does for Jesus what was considered in those days to be one of the greatest acts of love and respect.

When we send our children to school, we expect them to do their best, a coach expects the members of the team to do their best, and Jesus expects our best when we serve him.

Man cannot serve two masters. We cannot share any part of our lives with Satan and honor Christ in doing so. God gave us his very best—his only begotten Son—and he expects the best from us.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a fish fry at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 15. There will be plenty of food and fellowship.

Our Fifth Sunday night singing will start at 5 p.m. on Aug. 30. Robin Brown will be the featured singer. Everyone is invited.
