Lula Belle Vinson Spiegner, 88, of Clanton, passed away on July 31 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. She was born in Elmore County on Oct. 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Willie Allen Martin and the late Edith Rachel Osborne Martin.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Hicks of Billingsley; daughter, Rita Lawrence (Mike) of Clanton; granddaughter, Angie Payne (Jeff) of Maplesville; granddaughter, Connie Popwell (Tim) of Clanton; grandson, Wesley Hicks (Angela) of Plantersville; grandson, Terry Lawrence (Rena) of Alabaster; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Brady Popwell, Pearson Payne and Erin and Kenzley Lawrence and a brother, James Martin (Lois) of Montgomery.

She is preceded in death by parents, Willie Allen Martin and Edith Rachel Martin and brothers, Everett Martin, Charles Wilbur Martin and Calvin Martin.

Funeral services will be held Aug. 2 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Justin Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Billingsley Cemetery in Billingsley.
