The Rev. Toy Wayne Caton, 80, of Clanton, passed away July 21 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1934, in Chilton County, the son of the late Cornelius Caton and the late Carrie Ellison Caton.

He was a switchman with the railroad.

Surviving are son, Michael Caton (Sherry) of Clanton; grandson, Tyler Caton of Clanton; granddaughter, Tara Caton of Clanton; brother, Roy Caton of Clanton; sisters, Faye Bolton of Clanton and Jewell Headley of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Caton and sister, Dean Ray.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. July 23 at Bell Lane Baptist Church.

Services will be held July 24 at 10 a.m. at Bell Lane Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Christensen officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
