Minor Ross Jenkins Jr.

Minor Ross Jenkins Jr. passed away July 13. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on July 18 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Jenkins is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Nevius Jenkins; parents, Minor Ross Jenkins and Jewelle Gee Wilson Jenkins.
He is survived by his children, Robin Hill (Chip) of Montgomery, Minor Ross Jenkins III of Tuscaloosa, and Jennifer Branch of Florence, Ore.; brother, Hon. Claude Wilson Jenkins of Little Rock, Ark.; sister, Nancy Jenkins Groves of Rogers, Ark. and four granddaughters, Hannah Branch, Haley Jenkins, Linda Hill, and Jessica Jenkins.
Jenkins was born in El Dorado, Ark. and later became a longtime resident of Mountain Home, Ark. before his relocation to Clanton in 2007 and then to Eastdale Estates in Montgomery in September 2014.
He served in the U.S. Army then attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1963.
Upon moving to Clanton, he attended the First United Methodist Church of Clanton where he enjoyed being a member of the Carlisle Miller Sunday School class.
