Mary Jones Chism, 102, of Clanton, passed away June 17 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born Nov. 16, 1912, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Marion C. Jones and the late Clyde Daisy Campbell.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughters, Amelia Alawine of Fairhope, Mary Clyde Huff (Emmett) of Clanton; son, Billy Chism (Jane) of Clanton; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E.G. “Sunshine” Chism.

Friends will be received from noon until 1 p.m. June 20 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held June 20 at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel with with the Rev. Baxter Chism and the Rev. Rob West officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

No flowers, but donations may be made to Clanton First United Methodist Church, fund of your preference, or First United Methodist Church of Pinson.
