Cedar Grove Church

Jesus did not always have a good day. After he began his ministry, he often awoke with the knowledge that someone was out to kill him.

Most of us have probably never awakened knowing someone was waiting to kill us. The Jewish leaders really hated and wanted to kill Jesus because they did not know what he knew and could not do the things he could do. And Jesus’ own earthly family mocked him.

God wants us to believe in great things. He is always ready to take us in and save us. If you seek God, he will speak to you. It is always time for us to step up and let God take us into the fold. Accept him into your heart as our Savior.

The world will not hate you as long as you are partying, drinking, doing drugs and living any lifestyle you choose, but when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and choose to testify against the sin of the world, the world will turn on you and hate you. This world is about as wicked and full of sin as you can get, and yet God is still holding out mercy for a chance at repentance for the world.

In John 7:12 there were two opinions of Jesus: (1) He is a good man (2) He deceives the people. In Verse 13 we see the power of oppression, as no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews. The gospel is only as strong as those who will confess and speak up for Jesus. Will you be faithful to what Jesus wants you to do?

Prayer concerns: Our church family, our nation, those in hospitals and nursing homes, spoken and unspoken requests.
